Group 7 – Section 5

Building Faith for Healing and the Miraculous

Note: Directing your heart away from earthly things and toward God is very important for the kind of faith that helps you to experience healing and miracles on a regular and consistent basis (John 5:44). Trust God is washing your body holy so that He can use it for healing and miracles. And, when you have entered and are trusting that God has come bringing heaven here, remind yourself that there is a lot of power in remembering that here with you are persons with personality. Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit have personality. Trust that Jesus is in front of you and at the Father’s right hand. The person of the Holy Spirit is here all around! The angels around you have personalities and roles with specific areas of expertise in the kingdom of God.

…Heart, listen to what you are saying, and let yourself believe and love the truth!

… (Your name), it is God’s will that my abiding results in spiritual fruit that glorifies the Father (John 15:5,8). I set my heart to trust that I am near You and that You have drawn near to me by bringing Heaven all around me here. Lord, thank You, that I can abide with You in me and I in You. I rest in You by clinging to Heaven all around me, Lord. I exalt You because You are the one God who is so much greater than the “gods” of this world.

…Heart, people get healed when I abide and enjoy looking at the Lord with joyously childlike faith about the power of God’s radiant love and goodness all around me here. Thank You, God, that I can exalt and honor You by my childlike dependence on You to draw near abundantly.

… (Your name), I will not allow the things of evil to choke off the flow of the power of God onto and through me. I turn away from pride, disbelief, fears of rejection, worry, doubt, bitterness, envy, unforgiveness, discouragement, unrest. I turn away from letting myself receive glory from the world. By this, I can better receive from God, and He can use me as He desires.

…Heart, it is God’s will to use me in ministry to others because “…you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood…so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Pet. 2:9); and, to priests, it says, “…do not be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to stand before Him, to minister to Him, and to be His ministers…” (2 Chron. 29:11). As a priest who is called into God’s marvelous light, I set my heart to receive the kingdom of Heaven here with the faith of a child so I can present my body to God (Rom. 12:1), and stand before the Lord, inside His marvelous light.

…When God demonstrates His power through me, I will make declarations that help me avoid self-directed praise and pride because of spiritual success. The praise that flows from me is for God and not for myself. When pride wants to rise up in me, I will make declarations that turn my heart back to loving and exalting God. Thank You, God, that I can receive the kingdom of Heaven around me for protection from demonic pressure toward pride. Heart, I can punish the demonic for pestering me by receiving the holy kingdom of God and by increasing the praise I boldly send toward God and His nearness around me here.

MORE

…Heart, “…let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God…” (Heb. 13:15). I exalt YOU, Lord. I praise YOU, God! Your power is here in me and all around me. The kingdom of heaven IS coming and is here, more and more. I thank God that I CAN exalt and honor You whether people see it or not.

… (Your name), there is no sickness in heaven, and Jesus told the disciples to pray that God’s will would be done on earth as it is in heaven. So, I set my heart to trust that I am near God and that the kingdom of Heaven is coming upon and around me here more and more.

…Heart, God’s will is that there is no sickness in Heaven; therefore, it is also God’s will that there is NO sickness or disease in me or anywhere around me HERE. Hear this and boldly believe it! I CAN receive the power of God for healing and miracles because when I receive the kingdom of Heaven with gratitude (Heb. 12:19-22; 28), Heaven comes, Jesus and the Father are here before me, the Holy Spirit is in me, and all around me, and angels are here. Heart, I make joyous declarations of repentance and faith to become more childlike about Heaven coming intensely. The better I can abide in Him, the more I can exalt and honor God. Heart, there is NO lack of power for healing! And God is your friend.

… (Your name), “…the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power” (1 Co 4:20); and Jesus told us, “…I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you…” And, what “I am sending,” He said would “clothe” us “…with power from on high” (Luke 24:29). So, heart, rejoice your way into bold faith that “…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses…” (Acts 1:8).

…Heart, speaking of Jesus, it says, “Now the Lord is the Spirit…” (2 Cor. 3:17); and Jesus said to us, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me…My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples” (John 15:4, 8). So then, for me to glorify the Father, I must give myself permission to believe that I can receive the presence of God and His kingdom around me freely enough and in abundance so I can honor God with the fruit that comes from my abiding.

…Heart, because it says, “…there was no strange god among you; so you are My witnesses…” (Isa. 43:12), I am making declarations that Help me rejoice my way into bold faith in God that gives me the freedom I need for turning away from having to receive glory and power from the world, sin, and idolatry. Jesus said, “How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?” (John 5:44). So, the more I turn my heart from the glory that comes from the world and from people, the more my faith can grow for receiving the presence of God with power for miracles that glorify the Father.

MORE

… (Your name), my Jesus says to me, “Behold, I have given you authority…over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you” (Luke 10:19). So, heart, rest into believing by submitting to these things as truth! Because God has given me the Holy Spirit inside by faith for salvation, and He continues pouring out the Holy Spirit onto the outside of me by faith for abiding, Jesus has given me authority over ALL the power of the enemy because “…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…” (Acts 1:8).

… (Your name), I am commanded to “…walk in the same manner as He walked” (1 John 2:6). Therefore, it is the will of God to use me to do His work of miracles and healing. So I am telling myself to trust that I am receiving God’s presence and kingdom because “…the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power” (1 Co 4:20). Thank You, God, that by receiving Your kingdom with gratitude (Heb. 12:22-24, 28) I can abide in You and produce the fruit of the kingdom because “…kingdom of God will be…given to a people, producing the fruit of it” (Matt. 21:43).

… (Your name), God says that “…you shall be My witnesses…even to the remotest part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). And my humanity is not perfect, but I have set my heart to make the Lord to be my God and to keep turning away from earthly sources. I turn to trust God to touch my body and make it holy, complete in Him. Heart, rest in confident and bold faith that God IS my strong refuge, He alone IS my strength, and the presence of God IS my glory. I am turning from the glory of idolatry and sin so that God can say of me that “…there was no strange god among you; so you are My witnesses…” (Isa. 43:12). Because I am trusting God to draw near so He can be God to me here, I can be His witness, “even to the remotest part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

… (Your name), “You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” (Acts 10:38). And “As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and… you abide in Him” (1Jo 2:27). The power of God for healing ABIDES in me; it never leaves me and does not decrease because it ABIDES. Because of the Holy Spirit abiding in me, the power for healing IS inside me, and the power for healing is all around me because I am receiving God’s presence and kingdom here. I love You, God. I love the presence of Your goodness and love with me here. (pause to let yourself feel human energy and motivation from the eternal significance and value of your exalting God in the heavenly realm AND HERE!)

… (Your name), my ability to keep looking at God’s greatness near me while staying open and receiving HIS healing power is NOT dependent on my self-discipline. Instead of discipline, my looking at the Lord WILL come from love and delight about the greatness of His strength, beauty, love, goodness, holiness, and justice close to me here. Thank You, God, that I can treasure Your nearness and that You hold my attention far better than human glory, beauty, and power here in this world.

…Heart, Jesus said that “…the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me” (John 15:26). And, “…we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit” (1 Jo 4:13). Therefore, the Holy Spirit that abides in me and that I am receiving from the radiance around God, He IS giving powerful witness about the love and the power of my God!

MORE

…Heart, hear this, and let yourself feel compassion. A lot of people are in great pain from sickness and disease, and the doctors CAN’T fix their problems. The truth IS that by keeping my eyes of faith on the Lord, I CAN receive His love and power. So, I should NOT have any fear, and I SHOULD have confidence because they CAN be helped and healed by my doing this. My faith and love for people and God can help me be faithful in continuing to look at the Lord while believing that I am receiving His love and power around me here. I CAN be more faithful with my abiding when I nurture faith about the glory of God being greater than anything else that could distract me.

… (Your name), the works of the Father include miracles and healing because Jesus said that “…the Father abiding in Me does His works” (John 14:10). In the same way as Jesus, the Spirit of the Father abiding in me does His works. And, it is NOT for my self-esteem that God does His works. It is “to the end that we…would be to the praise of His glory” (Eph. 1:12); “to the praise of the glory of His grace…” (Eph. 1:6).

… (Your name), I am commanded to “…follow in His steps” (1Pet. 2:21). It also says that “…as He is, so also are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). Therefore, it is Jesus’ promise to me that “…the works that [HE DID], [I] will do also; and greater works than these will [I] do; because [He has gone] to the Father” (John 14:12). God CAN and He DOES work healing and miracles through me. And, I turn from praising myself for it! My praise is toward YOU, Lord!

… (Your name), Jesus told me, “…I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you…” And, what “I am sending,” He said would “clothe” us “…with power from on high” (Luke 24:29). And, “…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses…” (Acts 1:8); “This Jesus God raised up again…[and] having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear” (Acts 2:32,33).

…Heart, “…we…receive the promise of the Spirit through faith” (Gal 3:14); and, “…it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all…” (Rom. 4:16); So, “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32). And, heart, “…the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power” (1Co 4:20); “…the kingdom of God is…righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Rom. 14:17).

… (Your name), “…the crowd marveled as they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel” (Mat. 15:31). The same thing IS being true of me because IT IS WRITTEN that when I “…lay hands on the sick…they will recover” (Mar 16:18). The power of the Holy Spirit abides inside me AND by my faith about the glorification of Christ (John 7:39) and my being able to freely receive the Spirit of God because of His being a radiant fountain, “…the Spirit of glory and of God rests on [me]” (1 Pet. 4:14).

…Heart, I must let myself open up to God with faith for receiving from Him because “…Those who turn away on earth will be written down, / Because they have forsaken the fountain of living water, even the Lord” (Jer. 17:13); “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).

MORE

… (Your name), when my refuge is the presence of God, then the Kingdom of God is HERE; “he who takes refuge in Me…will possess My holy mountain” (Isa. 57:13). Heart, heaven IS here. The power of God IS here. There is NO sickness in heaven. God’s will CAN be and IS being done on earth as it is in heaven! Heart, the kingdom of God, is here with the life of God, His power, His Light, and His love. God CAN work through me, and He IS causing His glory to be praised; I “…will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mar 16:18). Lord, I am trusting that I am abiding inside Your powerful and great love.

… (Your name), instead of discipline, my ability to keep looking at the Lord is from loving His heavenly kingdom and presence with an active delight in the truth that everything about God’s nearness has greater glory than any earthly glory that could ever distract me here.

…Heart, hear this and let yourself enjoy knowing that I CAN exalt the Lord. I can receive God’s presence with power, and people will get healed because of my faithfulness in looking at His kingdom and radiant presence near me. By this, I WILL be causing the glory of the Lord to be greatly praised!

…I repent and turn away from fear, self-protection, and doubt about receiving the power of God for healing and miracles. Heart, the truth is that people will find health, and when they do, they WILL give credit to God! They will glorify Him! I am telling my heart to be faithful, to keep looking at the Lord, and to enjoy that I am receiving His power upon and all around me here.

… (Your name), destroying the works of the devil is necessary for God to be able to build us (His church) together as His dwelling place (Eph 2:19-22). And, “…David…was unable to build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which surrounded him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet” (1 Kings 5:3). Heart, the more the devil is “put under our feet,” the more fully we become His temple.

…Heart, the need for healing is included where it says, “The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). And, the devil’s kingdom is crushed and ground into dust (Luke 20:18) under our feet when we receive with “gratitude” the mountain of God and the kingdom of Heaven (Heb. 12:22-24, 28) that comes down from above (James 1:17). Heart, hear this and treasure the truth that the stone that crushes and destroys the devil’s kingdom is the mountain of God (Dan. 2:35, 44-45) that comes down with the kingdom of Heaven as we receive it like a child who drinks from God instead of the world and who takes refuge in the Lord (Isa. 57:13; Ps. 36:7-9).

… (Your name), I am directing my heart to follow the example Jesus gave us: “…The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). Even though Jesus said, “…I have given you authority…over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you” (Luke 10:19), Jesus is the “…stone…on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust” (Luke 20:18); Jesus and His kingdom is the rock that crushes evil kingdoms (Dan. 2:44-45) including sickness and disease; “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).

MORE

…Heart, authority for Elijah and Elisha was because they stood before the Lord: “Elijah said, ‘As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand…” (1 Kings 18:15); “Elisha said, ‘As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look at you nor see you.” (2 Kings 3:14). Like them, the greatest authority and fruitfulness possible is for me to abide in Christ by receiving the kingdom and standing before Him with the radiant glory of God all around me here: “My sons, do not be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to stand before Him, to minister to Him, and to be His ministers…” (2 Chron. 29:11).

…Thank You, God, that I can honor You and cause Your glory to be praised by the quality of my abiding in You here! Heart, the love, and the kindness of God are here. The power of God is also intensely here!

…Heart, sickness, and disease are included where it says, “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet” (Romans 16:20); so, “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32)! Thank You, God, that when I receive the kingdom of Heaven with “gratitude” (Heb. 12:22-24, 28), the mountain of God comes down as a huge stone that crushes evil kingdoms (Dan. 2:44-45) and kills spiritual giants of sickness and disease in my life and in the lives of people around me. Heart, when I receive the kingdom with the faith of a child, angels come down around me, and by this, I get to take refuge in God while He fights evil, sickness, and disease.

Heart, my joyous declarations of repentance and faith help me rest in boldness, strength, zeal, and faith that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8), and Jesus is still in the business of healing people.

… (Your name), we were commanded to pray, “…Our Father who is in heaven….Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven” (Mat. 6:9,10). And, I love the truth that since there is no sickness or disease in heaven, it is the Father’s will that there be NO sickness or disease “on earth as it is in heaven.” Thank You, Lord! I love that I CAN exalt You by my praise in the unseen realm AND by the manifestation of Your power in this realm, here. Thank You for giving Your power so freely!

… (Your name), Jesus was anointed with power for healing and miracles, and He wants the same for me because He said, “…I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high” (Luke 24:49); and, “…we…receive the promise of the Spirit through faith” (Gal 3:14). So, with confident and bold faith, I trust I am drawing near to God by trusting Him to come to me so He can wash me clean (James 4:8) and, so I can present my body to God (Rom. 12:1) and abide in Him here. Thank You, God, because I know You want me to produce fruit that glorifies the Father (John 15:4, 8), I can trust You to anoint me in this way.

… (Your name), “…The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under [my] feet” (Romans 16:20). “Behold, I have given you authority…over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you” (Luke 10:19). Heart because that is what God says, I can REST into believing it with confident faith!

MORE

…I walk as He walked because God is IN me and He is walking with me here (2 Co 6:16). And “As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and…you abide in Him” (1 Jo 2:27). Because of salvation, the Spirit of Christ and the power of God for healing ABIDES in me. Heart, Jesus also told us to abide in Him because “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves” (John 14:11). So, power for healing IS inside me, and power for healing is also all around me because I am receiving His presence and am abiding IN Him here.

… (Your name), “It is the Spirit who gives life…” (John 6:63) to diseased and sick people. Heart, Jesus came to give us life abundantly (John 10:10), and we receive the Spirit by faith (Gal. 3:14). So I am telling my heart to enjoy that the Spirit who gives life abundantly is in me and all around. It is by the living Spirit of God that the life of Jesus IS being manifested in and through me here (2Cor. 4:10). By God’s grace, I am confident that the life of Jesus is in me and that I am receiving more of His life because it is His living Spirit that is pouring out from the “fountain of life” (Psa. 36:9; Jer. 2:11-13) by the radiance that shines from Jesus (John 7:37-39).

…I set my heart to enjoy the closeness of the substance of God’s love, His authority, and His power in me and all around me here. Lord, I am opening up to You, and I trust that I am receiving an “abundance” of the Spirit’s presence so You can give life to sick and hurting people. I can abide inside Your powerful and great love. I praise YOU for that, Lord. I love YOU, God!

… (Your name), God doesn’t do His works and then make a sacrifice by letting the praise go to me. Heart, “…let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God…” (Hebrews 13:15) by praising His glory instead of our human glory as a reason for pride. God’s love, authority, and power are in me and around me here. So, the praise should go toward Him for what He does and not toward me. (pause to let yourself feel human energy and motivation from the eternal significance and value of your exalting God in the heavenly realm instead of yourself!)

… (Your name), it is God’s will that I am His witness. And God gives power for witnessing by giving me the Holy Spirit; “…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses…” (Acts 1:8). The power of the Holy Spirit is IN me. And, as I trust, I draw near to God by His drawing near me here; He draws near by pouring out the Holy Spirit with His power onto me here. Heart, REST in confidently believing these truths! My praise exalts God, and His power with me causes others to praise and exalt Him. (pause to let yourself feel human energy and motivation from enjoying the eternal significance and lasting value of exalting God in a significant way!)

… (Your name), “…consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 6:11). Consider yourself dead to this realm of darkness, sin, and evil and alive to God and His kingdom of marvelous light: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9); “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).

… (Your name), faithfulness to keep looking at the Lord and receive HIS power is NOT going to come from self-discipline. Instead of discipline, it will work far better when faithfulness flows out of love, delight in the truth, confident hope, and faith. Heart, hear this! Jesus said that He made me the light of the world. And, when I fit that with other Scriptures, it is by trusting with faith that I am entering so I can present my body before the Father that I am receiving HIS Light upon me. Heart, the more I remind myself and build my faith about the greatness of God’s glory near me, the more I will love His nearness, the more I will keep my eyes on God and His kingdom around me, and the less likely I am to look away. The more faithful I can be with this, the more the Light of God will shine from me, and the more the Father can do His works: “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves” (John 14:11); “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matt. 5:16).

…By bold and joyous declarations of repentance and faith, I am directing my heart away from idolatry (1 Sam. 7:3) and toward confidently believing the Scriptures about entering the throne room where God cleanses my body and heart (Heb. 10:19-22). I directing my heart to joyfully trust that I can stand before the Father and be IN Him by receiving the kingdom of Heaven around me with gratitude so I can stand before Him as a kingdom priest (1 Chron. 29:11), and put on the armor of Light that protects me from temptation and sin (Rom. 13:12-14). By enjoying that God’s glory near me is greater than any earthly glory I could ever be distracted by, I can keep looking at the Lord and abide with Him in me, and I IN Him. By this, “…the Father abiding in Me does His works” (John 14:10).

… (Your name), “You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” (Acts 10:38). And, “…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses…” (Acts 1:8). The Holy Spirit “proceeds” from Jesus and the Father and He is the Helper who gives testimony (Joh 15:26). The Helper who gives testimony lives inside me! And by trusting that I am before the Lord and that His radiance is before me here, I am receiving more of the Holy Spirit into me, onto me, and all around me here, all the time!

… (Your name), God says that “…you shall be My witnesses…even to the remotest part of the earth” (Acts 1:8); and, “…there was no strange god among you; so you are My witnesses…” (Isa. 43:12); and because, God defines idolatry in terms of HIS being my refuge, strength, and glory, I am making declarations that cut off the deep ways I treasure earthly and human sources. Heart, I am turning to trust with confidence that the kingdom of Heaven is coming down upon and around me so that the presence of God can be my strong refuge. I am turning my heart to treasure and enjoy the presence of God around me as my strength and glory. I set my heart to be confident about God as my God instead of idolatry and earthly things because “…there was no strange god among you; so you are My witnesses…And I am God.” (Isa. 43:12); and His promise is that I will be His witness, “even to the remotest part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). (pause to let yourself feel human energy and motivation from the eternal significance and value of your exalting God in the heavenly realm AND HERE!)

…Heart, God “…has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father…” (Rev. 1:6); “You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth” (Rev. 5:10). So I am a priest and I am commanded, and able, to stand before the Lord here because the Bible says, “…do not be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to stand before Him, to minister to Him, and to be His ministers…” (2 Chron. 29:11). So heart, be confident about standing HERE before the Lord because “…the Lord said to Moses, ‘…Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb…’” (Exo. 17:5,6). And also because “Elijah said, ‘As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand…” (1 Kings 18:15). And “Elisha said, ‘As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look at you nor see you.” (2 Kings 3:14). And, “…the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation might be fully accomplished…” (2 Ti 4:17).

… (Your name), “…the kingdom of God…has come with power” (Mark 9:1). It is right for me to believe that because of salvation, God lives INSIDE me and, “This Jesus God raised up…Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear” (Acts 2:32,33). So, by entering and receiving the kingdom of God, His glory and the kingdom of God comes here with power! By this, I am being “…to the praise of His glory” (Eph. 1:12).

… (Your name), my God “…has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature…” (2 Peter 1:4). I have “partaken” of God’s divine nature because I have received Christ. I have also drawn near to God by trusting Him to draw near to me here. Like a child opens up to receive a smile, I am opening up to receive the Holy Spirit by the radiance around God. The more I can stay open and keep receiving, the more I am continually “partaking” of the divine nature: “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32) and, “…the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power” (1 Co 4:20).

…Heart, Jesus promised, “…I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you…” and, what “I am sending,” He said it would “clothe” us “…with power from on high” (Luke 24:29); “…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses…” (Acts 1:8); “This Jesus God raised up again…[and] having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear.” (Acts 2:32,33); and, “…we…receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” (Gal 3:14); “…it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all…” (Rom. 4:16).

(Abiding and Oneness)

… (Your name), abiding inside the presence of God and with Him inside me allows God to do His works, resulting in much fruit. God’s word is true! Jesus tells me, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:4, 5); “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me…” (John 14:11).

… (Your name), because I CAN “…walk in the same manner as He walked” (1 John 2:6), I am giving thanks and praise with joy and delight. The key is that in the same way as I received Christ for salvation I am to keep receiving so I can abide in Christ by walking in Him: “…as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him” (Col. 2:6). Thank You Lord! It is Your presence and kingdom around me that I treasure. Thank You, God, that there is no sickness in Heaven and the better I receive Your kingdom here, the more Your will can be done on earth as it is in Heaven (Matt. 6:33; Matt. 6:10).

… (Your name), I can do “greater works” because I am commanded to follow Your example Jesus. “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father” (John 14:10-12). So, I praise You, Lord, that You have given me access to enter and draw near by faith that I am receiving Your heavenly kingdom with faith and gratitude (Heb. 13:22-24, 28); “…have confidence to enter the holy place….” (Heb. 10:19); “…whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all” (Mark 10:15); “…through Him we…have our access in one Spirit to the Father” (Eph. 2:18); “…we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him” (Eph. 3:12). Heart, when Heaven is here, the healing power of God is in me and all around.

(One with God)

… (Your name), “There is one body and one Spirit…one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all” (Eph. 4:4,6). And, “…the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Cor. 6:17). Jesus is one with the Father because He shares the same Spirit as the Father. I am one with God because the Holy Spirit is in me, and He is all around me because I am drinking of the same Spirit that “proceeds” from the Father and that flows out of Jesus: “…the fountain of living water, even the Lord.” (Jer. 17:13).

…Heart, treasure the truth that “…His Son…He is the radiance of His glory…” (Heb. 1:2,3), and the word “radiance” has to do with outshining, NOT as in a reflection. “There is…one Spirit…” (Eph. 4:4); “…the Spirit of glory…” (1Pet. 4:14). “…the Holy Spirit of God…” (Eph. 4:30); “…the Spirit of Jesus…” (Acts 16:7); “…the Spirit of your Father…” (Mat. 10:20); “…the Helper…whom I will send to you from the Father…the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father…” (John 15:26). I am one with God because by drawing near, I am in Him and He is in me, “…The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one” (John 17:22).

…I praise You, Lord, that I can receive the Spirit of the Father and the Son that flows freely from You, Jesus. The Spirit of Almighty God is HERE in me and all around. I praise You for Your grace, God! Thank You, Lord, that by Your Holy Spirit, You make me one with You! “…the Spirit of glory and of God rests on [me]” (1Pet. 4:14). Lord, I love your presence with me, in me, and touching my skin.

… (Your name), God is building Christians together into a temple—a dwelling place for God: “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are…of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit” (Eph. 2:19, 21,22). I praise YOU, Lord, that You have made me into a dwelling place for Your Holy Spirit. You have and are giving me the kingdom of God. Angels are here all around me, and I am standing before the Lord of glory, who pours the Holy Spirit into and around me here.

… (Your name), I love the truth that I can “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…” (James 4:8). Jesus was praying for me when He said to the Father, “…The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one” (John 17:22). “There is one body and one Spirit…one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all” (Eph. 4:4, 6). The Holy Spirit is HERE! The power and the love of God are HERE. Angels are HERE. Because God wants to make a name for Himself, it is right for me to boldly believe that the power of God needed for being a witness is in me and all around me HERE.

NEW BOOK

Barry Hall’s first book, Receiving God’s Kingdom by Joyful Repentance, will help you to recognize the practical evidence of how we try to fill our need for God’s presence and kingdom with what we get from worldly substitutions, other people, sinful behaviors, and ourselves. It explains that in doing this, we receive pride that we put on like a coat around us for identity. Without realizing it, we put faith in our pride and try to abide inside it for protection, strength, and worth instead of receiving God’s kingdom and presence as needed. This book also explains repentance as a joyous process that changes our minds one step after another as we listen to ourselves, making bold and joyous declarations of repentance and faith.
