Inner Healing: Letting God Reach in and Give You a New Heart

DIRECTIONS for using these pages: Take a moment to direct your heart into believing that you have entered before the Lord and that He is close enough before you here to reach into you with His hand. Trust that you are holding your hurt and pain before the Lord like you are holding it before Him on a platter inside you. Then, read one of the statements below. Give yourself a moment to believe God is reaching into you and healing your hurt! Wait just a few seconds, believing it. Then, go on to the next statement.

…Heart, God says to me that “…I, the Lord, am your healer.” (Exo. 15:26); “Come, let us return to the Lord…He will bandage us. He will revive us…He will raise us up…that we may live before Him” (Hos. 6:1,2). (pause to let yourself feel confident because of these truths!)

…Thank You, Lord, that I don’t have to be afraid of You! I turn away from agreeing with demonic pressure to avoid exposing my hurt to You for healing! (pause to follow the directions at the top.)

…Heart, hear this. I should believe and feel delight because of these truths!” Jesus said, “I have come as Light into the world…” (John 12:46). And, IT IS WRITTEN that “…unto you…the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings and His beams, and you shall go forth and gambol like calves [released] from the stall and leap for joy” (Mal 4:2, Amplified).

MORE

…Right now, Lord, I am trusting that I am presenting my body before You and Your holy and healing Light is shining on me, reaching into me, and is giving me…

…healing for past and recent hurts…” (pause to believe that God is reaching into you and that He IS healing you!)

…healing for the result from the darts, the lies, and the poison of the enemy…” (pause a few seconds to believe God is reaching in and touching the hurt for healing.)

…healing from the emotional and spiritual damage done by sin…” (pause to believe that God is reaching into you and that He IS healing you! Wait just a few seconds while believing it, then, go to the next statement.)

…healing from the damage done by the sin of others toward me…” (pause for healing.)

…healing from hurtful or careless words from other people, or from other Christians…” (pause for a few seconds to believe that God is reaching into you and healing you!)

…“Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone…” (Ezek. 36:26). (let yourself feel confident that God is true to His Word!)

…Trust that Heaven is coming down and crushing any demonic beings trying to hinder your healing. Like when God stood before Moses on the rock (Exo. 17:6), trust you are before the Lord and open up to Him HERE. Remind yourself that God is good and that because you have trusted Christ for access to the Father, the holiness of God is all around you, and He is near to you now.

MORE

…Thank You, God, for reaching into me and healing the hurt from…

…fear (pause for healing); doubt (pause for healing); worry (pause for healing); disbelief (pause for healing); discouragement (pause for healing); hopelessness (pause for healing); despair (pause for healing); depression (pause for healing); anger (pause for healing); defiance (pause for healing); rebellion (pause for healing); rejection (pause for healing); abandonment (pause for healing); fears about human inadequacy (believe and receive)…”

…Remind Yourself that at Christ’s death, the veil between Heaven and earth was torn (Heb. 10:19-22), and by your gratitude about receiving Heaven here (Heb. 12:22-24, 28), you are NOT separated and God is before you here. Like those verses say, trust that you have entered before the Lord, and God is cleansing your humanity and conscience.

MORE

…Right now, God, I trust that You are reaching in and are giving me…

…a soft heart toward being able to have greater relationship with You, toward obeying You God, toward believing that You are supremely good…”

…a soft heart toward the truth (pause), toward loving the truth (pause), and toward obeying the written and spoken word of God…” (pause to believe that God is reaching into you and that He IS healing you! Wait just a few seconds, believing it, then, go to the next statement)

…a soft heart toward loving others (pause), toward living in righteousness and purity (pause), and a soft heart to forgive others and to forgive myself…” (pause to believe that God is reaching into you and that He is healing you!)

…Heart, God “called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9). So, remind yourself again to trust you are before the Lord and that God is before you here. By this, you are “walking in” (1 John 1:5, 7), God’s “marvelous light” and the holiness of God and His kingdom around you keep the darkness of the demonic realm away from you. Heart, it is right to open up to God and the radiance of the Holy Spirit coming to you because of the glorification of Jesus.

…Thank You, Lord, that I don’t have to be afraid of You! I turn away from agreeing with demonic pressure to avoid exposing my hurt to You for healing!

MORE

…I set my heart to joyfully trust that God is reaching into me and giving me…

…a whole heart that returns easily and keeps moving forward to more deeply believe the good character of God and know Him more intimately.

…Heart, when I direct my heart away from idolatry and toward God (1 Sam 7:3), “…God…causes the growth” (1 Cor. 3:6,7); “…it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure” (Phil. 2:13); and God says, “…From Me comes your fruit” Hosea 14:8).

…God says, “I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart” (Jer. 24:7). Thank You, Lord, for this truth! Thank You, that I can trust that the veil was torn and I am NOT separated from Heaven. It is right for me to trust I am entering before You by receiving Heaven here like a child at Christmas time.

MORE

…Holy Spirit, I trust that You are working into me and out of me the fruit of the Spirt…

…love (pause to believe and receive!), joy (pause to believe and receive!), peace (pause to believe and receive!), patience (pause to believe and receive!), kindness (pause to believe and receive!), goodness (pause to believe and receive!), faithfulness (pause to believe and receive!), gentleness (pause to believe and receive!), self-control (pause to believe and receive!)…”

MORE

Thank You, God, for reaching in and working into me…

…the will and the willingness to work for Your good pleasure.

…a passion and zeal for abiding, for drinking from God, and for a continual sacrifice of praise.

…growth in character (pause to believe and to receive); faith (pause); hope (pause); confidence (pause); steadfastness (pause); integrity (pause); obedience to You, God (pause); greater capacity for intimacy with You (pause); and a strong will and moral resolve to make no provision for lust by putting on the armor of Light by receiving Heaven around me here. By this, I can more easily say no to sin and punish the demonic beings pushing me with temptation.

…a passion and zeal for continually receiving the kingdom of God so that I can abide in Him and the government of God can increase on earth (Isa. 9:7), and God can do His will on earth more fully.

…Thank You, Lord, that I don’t have to agree with demonic pressure to be afraid of You! Heart, “…the kingdom of God is…righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Rom. 14:17); and, “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. / The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you” (Rom. 16:20); and, Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful” (John 14:27).

…Heart, it is right for me to trust boldly about receiving the kingdom of Heaven here because by doing that, the peace of God comes and crushes Satan under my feet. When I trust that Heaven is coming with angels, it is also right to trust that Jesus is before me and is close enough to reach into me and heal my hurts (Heb. 12:22-24, 28).

…Trust you are entering by receiving God’s heavenly kingdom like a child. Trust that the glorified Jesus is before you here. Open up to Him and let yourself receive the Holy Spirit from the radiance around Him. Heart, “…God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed” (2 Cor. 9:8).

MORE

So right now, Lord I trust You are reaching in to give me…

…a confident and restful peace about who You are and about what You are doing with me. I receive it Lord. Thank You!

…an abundance of grace for sufficiency in everything and an abundance of grace for every good deed.

MORE

…Thank You, God, that I don’t have to keep suffering pain because of reoccurring sin…

…The Psalmist said, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, / And forget none of His benefits” (Ps. 103:2). So, I turn my heart to love the benefits of receiving the kingdom of Heaven and playfully loving the nearness of God!

…Heart, God says to me that “…I am the Lord who sanctifies you” (Lev. 20:8). And, when I trust Heaven comes the Holy Spirit is upon and around me so I can, “…walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh” (Gal. 5:16). “…if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live” (Rom. 8:13).

…Thank You God that I don’t have to “…let sin reign in your mortal body…but present yourselves to God…” (Rom. 6:12-13); I can “…present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship” (Rom. 12:1).

…Thank You, Jesus, for sending the Holy Spirit as the Helper who enables me to live a holy life (John 16:7) and who Helps me to stand before You as a kingdom priest who reigns and rules with You, Jesus (2 Chron. 29:11; Rev. 5:10)!

…Thank You, God for washing my conscience and body holy when I enter before You (Heb. 10:19-22). Heart, “…just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification” (Rom. 6:19).

…Thank You, God, that I don’t have to walk in the darkness of this world. I can abide in Your marvelous Light (1 Peter 2:9) by trusting I am finding refuge in the Lord, by presenting my body to God through faith that the mountain of God and His kingdom are coming down upon and around me here (Isa. 57:13).

…Thank You, God, that I can avoid lust while enjoying that Your heavenly kingdom is armor (Rom. 13:12-14) that comes down upon me (James 1:17), crushing (Rom. 16:20) and burning (Isa. 4:4) the demonic beings trying to tempt me with sin!

…I am listening to myself as I say this to You, God. I love the nearness of God’s holiness, all around and touching me. I am turning my heart to love and treasure the glory and power of God’s holiness near me rather than the twisted, sinful, worldly power and glory I might temporarily feel from sin. I set my heart to remember that glory is attractive, and the more intentional I am to build my faith about God’s glory being greater and abundantly available to me, the more likely I am to love God in ways that make holy living practical.

…Thank You, God, that when I sin, I don’t have to punish myself for it because Jesus paid the price on my behalf. Instead of staying away from God until I have felt enough pain for my sin, I will turn to God and trust Him to draw near so He can cleanse my conscience (Heb. 10:19-22) and burn away my filth (Isa. 4:4).

…Thank You, God, that while standing before You as a kingdom priest (2 Chron. 29:11; Rev. 5:10), I can apply the kingdom keys You have given me by presenting before You the demonic beings and any witchcraft involved in trying to push me into sin (Matt. 16:19). I bind their power, influence, and effectiveness, tempting me to sin and pushing me into disbelief. I loose the mountain of God, the kingdom of Heaven, and angels upon them so that the works of the devil and witchcraft can be destroyed, crushed, and burned. I loose the mountain of God, the kingdom of Heaven, and angels into this realm so that God’s kingdom can come, His government can increase on earth, and Jesus can more fully be established as King. Thank You, God, for wanting to use me in this way!

NEW BOOK

Barry Hall’s first book, Receiving God’s Kingdom by Joyful Repentance, will help you to recognize the practical evidence of how we try to fill our need for God’s presence and kingdom with what we get from worldly substitutions, other people, sinful behaviors, and ourselves. It explains that in doing this, we receive pride that we put on like a coat around us for identity. Without realizing it, we put faith in our pride and try to abide inside it for protection, strength, and worth instead of receiving God’s kingdom and presence as needed. This book also explains repentance as a joyous process that changes our minds one step after another as we listen to ourselves, making bold and joyous declarations of repentance and faith.
